that poetry could only be
from a place of sadness
of sorrow
of loneliness.
I use to think
that I could only write
when I felt down,
low
or
sad.
Now I know
I can write
simple poems
from a place of happiness
of love
of togetherness.
I can write
because I can.
Because I am happy.
Because I am free.
Because I am.
poetry is kind of the leading edge of all intellect. It costs nothing, moves faster than light and is revolutionary. It has taken me until now to learn this....

Poetry moves as you moves. It grows as you grow. Sometimes it is hidden and sometimes it is in the foreground.
ReplyDeleteIt has taken me this long to realize that I can change and grow with my poetry and not FOR my poetry.
